I just wanted to make sure that a via trip back from Quebec city to montreal is included. I am not sure how I will make it to Quebec...not quite in shape (last time I did any extensive long distance biking was 12 years ago in my mid 20s). I have less than 4 months to try to get in a bit of shape. I certainly will need a nice relaxing ride back to montreal.
I know that the Ontario (Toronto-Niagra) race sends people home by via. I assume that this happens in Quebec but I just wanted to be sure.
At the orientations session I went to 2 weeks ago they said they are discussing with Via, there will be a couple of trains, and probably some buses as well to handle the overflow.
Rumor has it that those that raised the most $ will have first choice on mode of transportation.

Hi, I totally understand where you're coming from; I was in the same situation last year with 2 months to prepare for a 240km ride...
Spend as much time as you can in the saddle, and if you can't do long rides, do interval training (vary your intensity a lot with sprints and hills). If you manage to "break in" your saddle, you'll already be MUCH more confortable during the ride.
at our orientation session, she said that there will be transportation (for a fee though) and the details weren't finalized yet. She didn't mention whether it was train, bus or other.
