At the orientation they mentioned there may be some limited hotel space available. I've never slept in a tent in my life and I don't plan to start now. Does anyone have any info about sleeping in a real bed ??
just curious - has anyone booked a hotel for the Saturday night in Trois Rivieres?? Wouldn't it be nice to know where we'll be camping so we can find a hotel nearby? I don't know why they have to wait so late to tell us... Also - wouldn't it be nice to know how we're getting home from Quebec?? Ok - whining session is now over...
well I had difficulty finding a reasonably priced room and I can always cancel up to 48 hours ahead of time so I went ahead and booked... I sure hope it's not too far a cab ride from the tent site... We'll see I guess... I wouldn't wait to long though...
I spoke to the ride office today - apparently the camp site will be "near dowtown Trois-Rivieres"... There apparently are some rooms blocked off at 2 or 3 hotels for riders - but they're not ready to reveal where yet... I don't know why... Also - looks like we're coming back by bus and although they're still looking for sponsors to cover the cost - it may cost up to $40 or $50 for a return ride to Montreal...
I did mention the ride and the girl on the phone had no idea what it was... I got a CAA rate... If anyone hears or sees it posted - please let me know! Thanks!
I now have 5 room reservations! OY! I called the Delta - who said they had no more rooms - but fortunately, while we were still on the phone this afternoon some more rooms became available. It's twice as much as the other reservations I have though... I wish I knew how I was getting from camp to whichever hotel...
