Where are you riding this weekend???

Through mapmyride.com - I've discovered I pretty much live right in the center of the Island of Montreal.
We're heading out for a 70 km ride tomorrow morning (Saturday) and will be probably going around the eastern tip.
Has anyone done this? Any suggestions? Tips?
Where are you riding this weekend?

Going east looks like it has more straight bike paths... but west is probably more scenic... oh decisions decisions...

Oh Diane thank you for map my ride.  We checked it out last night and found the nicest ride.  We live west of the city and we when down by the Soulounge Canel and the old route 2.  We did about 70k. It was great.  We rode against the wind when we were fresh and on the homeward trip we had the wind behind us.  Great ride.  The bike path was so smooth, super nice and we passed many other cyclists.  It's a popular route.

yay! glad to hear it!
Here is where we went Saturday:

we were against the wind going out - and it was sure windy - I was ready to quit. But we persevered and got through it. Not too thrilled with the way home from Gouin - we stayed on Marcel Laurin which is pretty busy for someone who hates riding in the city. If I wasn't so exhausted I might have tried to find another way...

loved this route - although we're against the wind coming back. this might be a regular ride for me after work - just the right distance and hopefully won't be too too busy from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m..

that's 100 km for the weekend. Best so far...
Am a little sore but I thought it would be way worse...
D.
