figuring out the luggage scene

I've never done a walk before so I'm not 100% sure how the luggage works.
I knkow you bring it at check in or the morning of...
How hectic is it to find your bag once you get to the overnight destination? I'm afraid of having to hang around for a long time waiting to find my bag amongst 2,000...

What about when we get to Quebec... If we're not taking the shuttle home - we'll have to pick up our bag again from them there - no? Or are they going to send it back to Montreal on the truck and we'll have to pick it up in Montreal?

They don't have this problem with the walk I guess because everyone comes back to the stadium at the end...
I wouldn't want my bag to stay in Quebec! Any suggestions or advice would be nice...

I'm going to e-mail the questions to the organizers - so I'll let you know what they say

Oh-I called about a few details:
BIKE CHECK-IN:
They recommend you bring a lock if you are dropping off your bike Friday-they'll have a Security guard watching the bikes overnight-but good to have it-they say you can then just pack your lock in your luggage Saturday morning. (I was reassured that no locks would be required for camp as they'll be closely watched all night long-and on camp-where no one but the volunteers, organizers and us are allowed on after curfew.)

LUGGAGE CHECK-IN:
If you did the online registration-they'll mail your jersey, your luggage tags and your tent # to you, along with other stuff. You will then tag your luggage and come Saturday morning, you'll leave it at the assigned trucks pending on the letter on your tag (which represents the aisle where your tent will be)-they will promptly deliver it right in front of your assigned tent. If you are registering on Friday-dropping off last minute donations and what-not - they will give you your package then.

Come the next morning-you'll pack up your stuff-drop it back in the assigned truck that will be waiting at the end of each tent aisle and they will bring everything to Quebec City.

Like they did for the Walk-they will have a drop-off area--again with your assigned letter/tent aisle--where your bags will be waiting for you to pick up. Im assuming for those taking the Shuttle-you'll be responsible for picking it up from there and bringing it to the bus yourself.

TRÈS, TRÈS ORGANIZED and NOTHING to worry about people- thanks to all the great volunteers there.

let's hope they have enough volunteers in the other two cities!!! Imagine trying to coordinate good help when you can't even meet with them!
Thanks for the update!
