On July 4th, the Dream Team will be hosting a benefit concert for the Ride to Conquer Cancer at the Hard Rock Cafe on Crescent between 5pm-11pm. Featuring music from local musicians, such as:
John Gurnsey Andrew Sutton (www.myspace.com/andrewsuttonmusic) Shawn Riel CAB (www.myspace.com/cabmtl or www.cabmusic.ca/) & more!
Entry will be by donation and we will also have half-and-half raffles going on throughout the day and into the evening. So come enjoy some great music, grab a bite to eat and share some drinks with friends, all while supporting this great cause that we have all been training so hard for. As riders yourselves, we would love to meet you and hear how your fundraising and training efforts have been going too (with less than 2 weeks to go before the main event! Time flies!). We would love it if you could join us!
If you would like to support our team but are unable to attend this event, or if you would like to learn more about our motivation for participating in the Ride then please visit our team page at www.conquercancer.ca/goto/DreamTeam. To find out more about our past events, visit my page at www.conquercancer,ca/goto/MeganLadd. We are about $2000.00 away from being able to participate in the Ride, so support in any amount will be greatly appreciated!!
Hope to see you on Saturday!
Rock out to support the Ride!

Thanks for the encouragement!! So far there are about 25 tables that have been reserved for our event, so things are looking pretty good! =) Its our last of many fundraising events that we've had, and I have to say its definitely the one I'm the most excited for. Mind you, part of that is just that we're getting better at the whole planning process so its less stressful! Should be a great night!
=) We made about 1250$ minus the cost of the rental equipment that we needed, so we're pretty happy! We were hoping to make a bit more and there are things that we would have done differently, but we're finding that there's always a bit of a learning curve with these large fundraising events. In any case, everyone seemed to have a great time, the bands were amazing and it was almost a full house! And most importantly, we did manage to make enough money so that all of my teammates can now participate in the Ride which was our primary goal for the event. We're all getting really pumped up for Saturday!!
