Got it..its humongous at the top and slims down to a squeeze way past my butt/leg...me thinks Im not shaped to be in one of those cycling jerseys-unless I find a way to modify it-ain't no way Im sporting this-I look like a Macy's Parade Float..
I was like a school kid when I got my package yesterday and then it sinks in that it's all one week away. Wow! I'm soooo with you mermaid. A bigger size will be way to big on top but my Italian hips are a little too squeezed for my comfort. If you find a magical modification, lemme know.
oh goodie - so it's not just me?? I'll wear it for pics tomorrow and on opening day - maybe even through it in my bag for riding in to Quebec - but doubt it. Not sure how it's going to fit hubby...
I'll bring it in to my local tailor this week- see if they'll if they can modify it for cheap-it is a nice shirt-I wouldn't want to ruin it with my limited sewing skills.
Pay attention to the washing instructions. The jersey seems to give off RED dye in the water (Yes, RED). If you're planning to wear it on the ride, I highly recommend washing it first. Hopefully it won't keep on giving off red. If it rains, you wouldn't want everything else you have on turning red. I wore it on a ride yesterday to try it out, and I have no complaints.
It seems a bit smaller than others, but the medium fits me quite well. The collar's a tad higher than most cycling jerseys, so I didn't pull the zipper all the way up.
I have to pick mine up at check in. They called last Friday to tell me that I wouldn't have gotten it on time (I live in Toronto), even if I checked in online a month ago.
I just got mine today! When i first registered , i asked for a small, not knowing how jersey's fit. I had'nt wore one ever at time of registration. Since then i bought a jersey and medium fit better than small. So i was affraid they'd send a jersey that was too small. But I'm happy with it, it's nice and the small fits perfectly.
