A little subject to kick off the New Year: Speaking to someone from the Ride office recently - its not 100% we're camping in Trois-Rivières this year...wha?..I got my reservations at the Delta already!! No Comfort Inn by the side of the highway for me this year!! Did you all reserve your hotels yet? The Ride rooms hadn't been blocked off yet when I spoke to the hotel but they said they could give me the additional rebate once that had been arranged. Just a thought.
Ahh, yes. Camping in Trois-Rivieres. Last year, it felt like we were UNDER the 3 rivers, not in it. OK, just a bit of my trademark lame humour to start off the year. Happy New Year to all.
I had decided to kick off my fundraising in January, but now I figured I'd better wait until the big fuss over Haiti has died down - maybe after the Olympics. It's not that I don't feel for the Haitians - it's just that I can't compete with that, and it might seem to some that I'm insensitive if I do any fundraising at the same time.
