lodging - hotel vs. tenting in Trois Rivières

Just wondering, do one of you women already have a hotel room booked in Trois Rivières?  If so, I'd like to use your name as a tenting partner - that way, you guessed it, I can have a tent to myself.

Please let me know.

Much appreciated!

Hi,

I heard a rumor that Mansfield Club Athlétique is offering all their riders a hotel room in Trois Rivieres, You may want to contact one of them.

That being said, I stayed in a tent last year and shared with someone who I never knew until 1 month before the ride. Everything worked out well. Bring an ipod or earplugs; it may not be your tentmate that is noisy, it could be your neighbor :) .

Best of Luck.

FYI: I called about 10 hotels/motels today. I lucked out with http://www.suiteslaviolette.com/home.html if you are thinking of calling for a hotel, CALL TODAY.

Ditto - we had a huge downpour the first day last year - camp/sleeping bags, luggage, etc...soaked - the bike parking looked like a mosh pit...I hear a different site has been chosen in Trois-Rivières (?), but I highly recommend you have a back-up plan.

For First time riders. You can still enjoy the Camp and everything that goes with it, when it is time for "Lights Out", around 9pm you just go to your Hotel.

(love the wet dog photo)

For those of you still looking for rooms, looks like the direct hotel bookings are full. If you would like to book a room (better act fast), go to www.kayak.com . There is still availability at the Auberges des Gouverneurs as well as the Comfort Inn.

Best of luck,

Rob
