For anyone who needs the practice (ha ha - don't we all!) the timing of this metro challenge on June 26th couldn't be any better. You can try a long distance (up to 150) but with support in case something goes wrong!! Check it out!

ddkphotos or anybody with some info about the met challenge i did a bit of checking and for the 26 june it is the The Vaudreuil - Soulanges Challenge Saturday, June 26 Start/finish: Rigaud
IS THIS WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT AND COULD YOU GIVE ME MORE INFO ON WHAT WE NEED TO DO IF INTERESTED IN GOING. WHAT ARE ESTIMATED COST, ETC. THANKS MIKE
This sounds very interesting. Do you have any idea what time the ride starts in the morning? I went to the web site and all I can see is the various routes - but I didn't see any starting time.
it's a staggered start - as people arrive and are ready they leave - makes for less congestion. I believe it's somewhere between 7:30 and 10:00... You may want to call Velo Quebec to confirm that - but the other two I went to were like that...
ok - we'll we're not going. The forecast is for 70% chance of rain in the Rigaud area and a high of 16 degrees which is not warm!!! darn mother nature!
that's great! well in the end it wasn't raining at 8:30 so we rushed out to Rigaud and signed up at 5 minutes to the end of sign up time (10:00 a.m.)... Did 96 km and didn't get rained on - YAY!!
Same as you guys, saw that the rain had let off so I got in by the skin of my teeth. I was actually the last one to sign up at 10:30 and get a lunch. Some people signed in after me too, believe it or not, with no lunch. Did 115 km - and I didn't get rained on either - YAY! I was happy about that. Saw some people at the lunch who did get rain so we were the lucky ones. How did you like those hills at the end?!
