I'm looking for a lift (with my bike) from Chateauguay to the big O on Saturday July 10 and from the Big O to Chateauguay on Sunday July 11 - I am happy to chip in on gas! Anyone?
I know that I can drop off my bike the day before - the issue is more that first of all, I figured there might be other people driving to the site and instead of several people driving several cars, it might be a good idea to car pool. Secondly, I don't currently have a bike rack for my car, so I would have to either buy one or borrow one - which obviously I will probably have to do, but wanted to avoid if someone was already going and had a bike rack. Thirdly, if I drive myself, then my car sits at the Big O for the entire weekend and neither of my kids will have use of it OR I have to drag one of them out of bed at the crack of dawn to drive me to the Big O so that they can have the car for the weekend. Anyway - if no one who is going responds to this, then I will get myself and my bike there one way or another.
drag the kids to the start line! they should be proud of you and supporting you as you start your journey (the bonus is them having the car for the weekend!)... Just a thought. Dragged my 17 year old last year and now this year he's doing the ride with us!
