I just signed up for next year's Ride to Conquer Cancer.

I used to mountain bike a lot when I was younger, but not anymore. In fact, I really need a new bike if I want to be up to the challenge.

I don't have a really big budget (I'd say around $500 maximum) and I want a bike that can fit a child seat, or carry a child trailer to sit my 2-year old.

Any recommendations on brand or what I should look for?
