The ride organizers sent out a message stating that the start and finish lines have been changed from Montreal to Quebec to Repentigny to Donnacona. They have stated in the e-mail that this is because we have requested this.
I would like to know if you are for or against this.
I can't see why they would change this in the middle of the process. I have been begging for money, stating that I would ride from Mtl to Qc city, not Repentigny to Donnaconna. Now what do I say to my people??
Olympic stadium is a landmark. This is sad. Thanks for your survey.

I have no issue with the length of the ride in 2009 & 10, however the start from the stadium last year was a horrendous ordeal. It took over two hours for the first leg to Repentigny with the escorts holding us at 8 - 15 km hr most of the way. Aside from being very frustrating, it's quite dangerous as well to force thousands of cyclists to ride in tight quarters at such an unstable speed with most clipped into pedals. I saw a couple of crashes. I'm hoping that starting from Repentigny will eliminate that issue.
I remember doing the survey and I said I didn't like the finish. Following the ride, my team stayed at a hotel downtown (Lowes, I think). I remember looking out over the Plains of Abraham and thinking how much more exhilarating that setting would have been for a finish than the suburban conference centre where it did end - particularly given the festival that was going on in Quebec City the same weekend as the ride.
